MySlideShow – Utility to create slideshows
A picture album will look better if you create a slide show which you can play on your computer or on a DVD player. Software that let you create such slide shows are either expensive or hard to handle. My Slide Show has been designed for fast and easy slide show creation and customization. It will take just one or two minutes to figure out how the entire software works.
Getting this program requires downloading a zipped file that weighs in at 4.70 Mb. After unzipping the kit, installing the software will go smoothly.
There are five areas the interface has been divided in. Each of them is useful for a certain stage when creating a slide show. First, you need to navigate your computer's folders structure in the upper left part of the window. When you select an image folder, its contents will be displayed in a file list next to the navigation pane. To create a slide show, you can just click and drag your images from the file list to the area below, which is a slide list. This will display the images in a detailed list. You can organize the order in which the pictures will appear in the show by dragging them to another position or by selecting one and clicking on an up or down arrow. You can interact with an image's details in order to set a transition effect or duration, add text or rotate it.
Creating the slide show requires clicking a button from the toolbar. A tabbed window will show up where you can make some final settings like specifying an output path, selecting a size for the images or embedding true type fonts. The results can be saved as a single .exe file, a set of files or a screen saver by clicking a radio button next to these formats. Alternatively, you can burn and autorun CD directly from My Slide Show's interface. You will be given the same options as before, but instead of an output path you need to select a recording device.
Apart from slide shows, My Slide Show can create web galleries. This option can be found in the Tools menu. Clicking it will also bring up a settings window. It is similar to those that show up when creating a slide show or burning a disk, but you can find additional options for setting the size of the thumbnails, adding a page title, a description and others.
Pros:
Everything on the interface is organized in a logical manner. This makes My Slide Show much easier to understand than other similar programs.
Cons:
The installation package can be downloaded as a zipped file. This does not make any sense because the size difference is negligible.
My Slide Show enables you to give your photo albums a better and professional look. The user friendly interface makes it easy for any experience level user.
